Foam Internet_Creative Director & GTM Lead_2025-2026

Challenge

Monopolies dominate Fiber Optic internet in the US: overcharging while delivering demonstrably poor customer service, as measured by NPS scores. Foam Internet is part of the solution, utilizing open access networks to provide customers with alternatives. Disrupting the telecom space, Foam needed a brand that was accessible, reliable and distinct from legacy operators.

How I worked

I joined at the founding stage to craft brand and bring the vision from 0-1 in a solo function. Built, iterated and delivered investor pitches. As scope expanded, I managed freelancers, agencies and vendors. I took equity as partial compensation.

Outcome

Pre-seed raised. Naming, brand guidelines, investor materials, social strategy and growth, pricing and roadmap frameworks, website crafted for a 2026 launch.

Testimonial

Ben has a unique ability to translate vision into strategy and creative; delivering brand development in a cohesive story that resonates with employees, partners, and  investors. Ben’s leadership helped shape a compelling brand identity, sharpen our marketing, bringing structure and momentum to an ambitious vision.

DVx Ventures_Brand Designer & Consultant_2024-2025

Challenge

A venture brand studio with multiple portfolio companies across fintech and AI, DVx needed help visualizing and verbalizing their genre-defying ideas.

How I worked

I operated solo, bringing in web and motion designers as needed and collaborating with internal product design teams. The multi-year engagement covered pitch development, deck design, and branding for DVx projects at every stage of build. I ran mock pitch sessions with portfolio founders.

Outcome

AI Hospitality app Zumi taken from idea to market, with early customers including the Coya group. ETF Platform VistaShares launched, now surpassing $1 Billion in Assets Under Management (AUM).

Testimonial

Exceptional to work with, Ben immediately understands the brief and consistently translates our ideas into something clear, compelling, and tangible. He requires very little direction yet always delivers thoughtful, high-quality work that elevates the vision. His ability to bring brand to life visually has been a real asset in helping us communicate with clients and investors.

Setset_Consultant_2026
Challenge

Setset is a no-prompt image generation tool for fashion and e-commerce brands to scale digital asset production. Technologists and creators at heart, the team needed help positioning and translating the tool’s utility in a space occasionally suspicious of AI innovation.

How I worked

Centering empathy with user problems, I worked with the founders to position the tool as a value-add to the creative industry. Part thought partner, part deck designer, part copywriter, I crafted messaging that reframed a novel way of working as an additive partner for creative teams.

Testimonial

Ben challenges your assumptions, reframes your thinking, and ultimately opens up storytelling you didn’t know you had in you. He brought a lens we didn’t know we needed and unlocked a whole new level of narrative for us.

Asana_Creative Director_2024

Challenge

Asana wanted to target enterprise users at a global scale. With creative previously focused on smaller scale start ups, they needed to reframe messaging to show their product delivering at a larger scale.

How I worked

Brought in without an existing team, I established visual and narrative direction, before building an agile team of a freelance animator and copywriter to quickly deliver the global campaign.

Outcome

Cohesive video and static campaign across digital formats and OOH, translated into seven languages and exposed in 19 markets.

Material Matters_Brand Designer_2025-26

Challenge

Shop Extraordinary Enterprises, operator of Artist & Fleas and Manhattan Vintage, wanted to launch a bi-annual curated home goods fair, bringing the nation’s best dealers into one space. Material Matters needed an aesthetic that could telegraph vibe without over-committing to a single era or aesthetic.

How I worked

Digging deep into visual archives, I built a visual language around the idea that taste is timeless. References came from early twentieth century artist manifestos and 1980s fanzines, early Vivienne Westwood retail experiences and mid-century furniture identification marks. Taking a decidedly punk stance and rejecting ideas of strict classifications, the branding found its POV in curated eclecticism.

Outcome

Material Matters launched its first show in February 2026. Engagement with SEE was extended to rebrand Manhattan Vintage, and oversee creative direction of assets for both Material Matters and Manhattan Vintage.

OnePay_Principal Designer_2023

Challenge

Personal banking app OnePay acquired Even, a payroll management app with nearly 1 million users who loved it. The goal was to expand OnePay’s offering and user base, building it into an elite contender in the personal finance technology space. Even needed to be rebranded in a way that grew the OnePay brand and kept existing Even users happy and engaged.

How I worked

I joined the newly created Brand Design team as a freelancer to help create the One@Work brand, spearheading a rebrand of OnePay (then just One), with a focus on creating a net new brand system as well as GTM assets that delivered on humanizing the rebrand.

Outcome

Nearly 1 million Even users successfully transitioned into OnePay. Maintained 4.9 Star rating.

Newstand_Creative Director_2021-2022

Challenge

Cult underground retailer raised $50m series-B to bring NYC cool and ease the post-covid return to office. The brand was pivoting and needed tools that would quickly adapt as it secured and scaled market fit.

Application

I joined as in-house Creative Director, immediately overseeing a rebrand that kept the logo and changed everything else. In order to solve for quick changing brand needs I built an icon and illustration system derived from the wordmark allowing brand, content, retail, marketing and product teams to produce on-brand work independently, eventually scaling into visual brand library.

Outcomes

Brand system deployed across flagship store, kiosks, app, digital and swag. Early office clients building out Newstand amenities in their buildings as a back-to-office perk.

Testimonial

Aside from his incredibly thoughtful talent, what I can say about Ben is that he geeks out about the process and people of it all as much as he does the actual work, which is something you don’t come across very often.

Tidal New York_Creative Director_2017-2021

Challenge

Flip flops get treated as disposable. Tidal New York decided they didn't have to be; focusing on craft, sustainability and American manufacturing.

How I worked

Joining as a solo operator, I led a rebrand including logo re-design before building and leading teams covering design, marketing and partnerships. Oversaw collaborations with J Crew, the Whitney and Saint Laurent, .

Outcome

100,000 units sold. Press coverage in The New York Times, The Business of Fashion, Vogue and ABC News Tonight. One of the highest B-Corp scores in the industry.
